As a solo RVer I have had to learn to do so many things on my own. It has been scary and rewarding at the same time. I have learned that some days I need to ask others for help. This has been a great way to meet people! As an automotive journalist I have realized how amazing technology is. Ford has had Pro Trailer Back up Assist and I have been waiting to try it out! It allows the driver to steer the trailer by simply turning a knob on the console. It takes out the frustration of having to back up ‘the old way.’ Thanks to technology like this – RVing is much easier for people to do it alone! What is your excuse for getting out on your own now?
Lacey,
I have enjoyed your YouTube, etc. videos. I think you do a great job teaching and describing topics. I previously owned a 25 ft and then a 31 ft travel trailer and have performed several trailer backing sequences. Although I feel I’m above average at the backing game, I found that each year I needed to test my backing capabilities before pulling the travel trailer. I pray the Lord will bless you.
That back up game is the most challenging! Have you had a chance to try some of the new technology on trucks and trailers to help out? Like this pro trailer back up assist from Ford. If you are above average, it might not help much-lol. But it is still very impressive. God bless!
